Drystone Walling Course

The course covers the basics of dry stone walling including: –

Explaining the structure of walls, stripping old walls down, preparing foundations, setting up frames and use of lines, building to 21”, placing of ‘through’ bands, building to the top of ‘double’, placing cope stones, description of tools and terms,

DSWA Certification Scheme

Career possibilities will be discussed. On completion of the course, trainees can become self-employed dry stone wallers or can be recommended to established craftsmen.
