Events and Activities for all ages
Lochview Rural Training is situated in the beautiful Sutherland landscape. We are a social enterprise with our key aim to promote, organise and deliver rural learning, training and career opportunities, improving awareness, knowledge and access to our rural landscape and to promote an understanding of the value of rural life for social wellbeing for all.
What kind of Experiences and Activities are on offer?
Croft experience (Family experience sessions)
Have you ever wanted to spend time on a traditional working croft? At certain times of the year we open our gates and allow families or individuals to come along and have a personal experience, spending time with our lovely livestock including our wonderful endangered Large Black sows, Rowie, Rose and Lily. You will also get to meet the horses Bracken and Frodo, our sheep and our wonderful array of chickens. We try to offer these sessions when we have new piglets, lambs and chicks so that you can have a wonderful hands-on experience and lots of cute cuddles.
By us offering these sessions you not only have a wonderful time but for every ticket purchased you are supporting a young person to attend as part of our rural skills education package.
